Advice on which heart rate monitor to buy for my daughter?
I would like to buy a heart rate monitor watch for my daughter. It needs to display the heart rate and the stopwatch readout at the SAME time (2 lines) so that she can look at her time while she is running. I would like one that is not too large. I bought her one, but I got it on Ebay, and when it arrived it turned out to be quite large. I'd like to spend less than $100.
If you would like to give advice on units to avoid, that would be welcome also.
I did almost bid on the Polar S120, but I think it might be pretty big.

I use the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS. It has a heart rate monitor, stopwatch, set alerts for your pace and HR, includes distance, best pace, average pace etc. Much more than $100. But well worth it.

I purchased the Nike Triax system and I have had good luck with it. I am not a big fan of Nike shoes so I was a bit hesitant to buy it. I have now had it for two years without any problems, other than battery replacement but that is to be expected. The watch is just a bit bigger than I would like it to be but manageable. I suspect that they may make it in a female version.
