You won't need to 'set' a Resting Heart Rate.

RHR is one of the things that you can FIND OUT by using a heart monitor.

Most monitors will allow you to set upper and lower limits for a 'training zone', but many products will calculate these limits automatically when you have programmed in your age (and sometimes other info too, such as your weight).

You can download user manuals from Polar's websites; these cover individual territories.

However, the product names are pretty similar wherever you are, so if it was bought in an english-speaking country your model is likely to be identical to one sold in, say Australia.
