what type of Heart rate monitor watch should i get?

I play lots of sport like running, football, swimming, basketball, volleyball
i need a heart monitor watch that would beep the moment my heart rate goes up. weather i am working out or not. It just beeps with my heart when it goes wild. so if my heart is pumping fast, the beep should accommodate with the heart.
but i need it to be strong for training, and SWIMMING.
I use a SPORTLINE and it does that as well as calculates the calories I burn based on my heart rate. It's also waterproof to 50m.
I bought it for $87.00 at Sports Authority, (used to be Gart Sports).
